Our Story
“The land boasts a rich history, a purpose rooted in equine use and enjoyment, and expansive views that speak for themselves. Simply stated, Gratitude Preserve is one-of-a-kind…but humbly, we do not ask that you take our word for it. We invite you to experience GP with all 5 of your senses, because we believe that’s when you’ll know … this must be the place.”
From the owners…
“We are three sisters — the second generation of owners and operators of
Gratitude Preserve — founded in 2004 by our beautiful mother, Stephanie Joan Croley 3.1.62-4.4.14. We are ready to help and serve all those that find their way to Gratitude Preserve, whether that be for an event, boarding, or a unique stay.”

General Business Manager,
Accounting, Admin, Stays, Co-ownerI love growing things: Plants, Communities, businesses, and Connections. You can usually find me making lists or a spreadsheet. I enjoy long hours with excel and do my best to keep us all on track so that we can meet our goals.
I enjoy spending time outdoors and with family. I am passionate about preserving the beauty of untouched landscapes and making them accessible for others to enjoy. Gratitude Preserve is dear to my heart; it holds some of my happiest memories with our mother who started it all, and it holds opportunities to build a legacy that our family can enjoy with the community for generations to come.

We are grateful you’re here! First, I want to take the opportunity to be candid, because it is relevant to the passion I have for my role at GP today. In 2014, 2 months after losing our mom, I became pregnant with my first child. While my husband and I had plans for marriage and a family, we were not expecting to be blessed with our greatest gift so soon. I was four months pregnant when we got married at Gratitude Preserve on the most perfect day in mid-October that same year.
I will treasure the moments from that day forever. There is just one major detail that flaws my memories to this day; the simple fact that I was in no shape to proactively plan one of the most special days of my life. While this may sound like a sad story, there is a happy ending; A happy ending that concerns all prospective and future events at GP. In May 2022 I acquired my wedding and event planning certificate. As coordinator of events for Gratitude Preserve, I am committed to ensuring the success of each and every occasion. With proper planning, communication, transparency, and a touch of instinct, I would be honored to coordinate your next event at Gratitude Preserve.

Equine Facility Manager, Boarding & Care Program Director, Co-owner
I was five when I first started riding horses, and nine when my mother purchased the property that would eventually become Gratitude Preserve.
I got my first horse when I was nine as well and I have been very fortunate to have had them in my life ever since. They have taught me so much about myself, hard work, and staying committed to something even when it gets difficult.
Throughout my time with horses, I have met many wonderful people who I look to as mentors and have been able to carve out my own method of horse care from all that I have learned.
As well as working with horses, I am also enrolled at St. Petersburg College online Vet. Tech program. My love of horses as encouraged me to expand my knowledge to learn all I can about animal care.
If you are considering boarding, please feel free top reach out to my REFERENCES.
